As of April 1st, 2026, in an attempt to reduce the number of commercial plan review revision submittals and the time it takes to issue a commercial permit, the City of Dayton Building Inspection Division will be implementing new commercial plan review fees for commercial revisions as follows:

• Initial review - no additional fee included beyond initial plan review fees
• 1st revision - no additional fee
• 2nd revision - $250.00 additional fee*
• 3rd revision - $250.00 additional fee
• 4th revision - $500.00 additional fee
• 5th revision - $500.00 additional fee
• 6th and subsequent revisions - $1000.00 additional fee

*Note: After the 2nd revision is submitted that results in non-approval, a meeting with the Chief Building Official and/or Chief Plans Examiner to discuss the review items with the building owner & design professional is required prior to submitting any additional revisions
