If you’re eager to get started in the fire service, several local community colleges - such as Sinclair, Clark State, and Butler Tech - offer certification classes that can help you begin your training.
If you become an EMT and would like to join Dayton Fire, we also hire single‑role EMTs to staff our medical transport units. When openings are available, you can find the application at:

Ride Along
To sign up for a job shadow or medic ride time, please use the link below. You can choose your preferred day, time, and the type of apparatus you'd like to observe. Be sure to indicate whether you’d like to shadow a fire apparatus or a medic unit.
