Dreaming of spring? Get a jump start on this year's gardening by ordering a 50-gallon rain barrel. Using a rain barrel is a great way to save water for your lawn and garden. A barrel also reduces stormwater runoff, a big problem in urban and suburban areas, polluting waterways with fertilizers, pesticides, and other contaminants. 

The City of Dayton Dept. of Water is partnering with Montgomery County and the City of Centerville to offer rain barrels at a reduced price. The barrels normally retail for $139 each and are being offered for $73 during this sale. Visit rainbarrelprogram.org/mceo to place an order before April 14. Pickup will be on May 6 at Montgomery County Water Services, 1850 Spaulding Road.
