Mental Health & Self Care Strategies
This session will emphasize the importance of prioritizing one’s mental health as an adolescent in our society and provide students some key tools and resources for self-care.
This session will challenge students to think about what they feel inclined to do with their lives and provide them with insights and examples of how to turn their skills and talents into suitable careers.
Youth Civic Engagement
This session will empower students to become more civically engaged in their lives and community. It will call attention to the personal and professional benefits of developing the skills, values, and habits of public participation. Students who attend this session will be encouraged to recognize that their voices and energies are needed to address societal problems.
This session will highlight the need for mentorship. It will demonstrate the proven impact having a mentor can have on one’s personal growth and development, and social and economic opportunity. Students who attend should be provided resources for ways to connect with a mentor.
