Mayor's Neighborhood Fund Projects for 2017 Announced

Mayor's Neighborhood Fund

Mayor Nan Whaley has announced that five Dayton neighborhoods will present special programs and events in 2017 after successfully applying for support from the Mayor’s Fund for Neighborhoods. The participating neighborhood associations and projects for 2017 are:

Westwood/Wright-Dunbar: Art Day (with African-American Visual Artists Guild)

Walnut Hills Neighborhood Association: Community Festival

Twin Towers Neighborhood Association: Spring Fling Festival (with House of Bread)

Roosevelt Neighborhood Collaborative: Bring Back the Funk Festival

Otterbein Estates: Chat-N-Chew Community Development Event (with Dayton Urban Ministry Center)

The Mayor’s Fund for Neighborhoods supports projects demonstrating the character, creativity and vitality of city neighborhoods, using moneys donated at a community event following Mayor Whaley’s election in 2013. Fund applications are reviewed by a special committee of community volunteers.
